Young lady, old soul

Maycie is one of our youngest employees, but you’d never guess it. Her mature demeanor has us calling her “an old soul”.

Maycie fits in so well because she too has a sassy sense of humor.

Irene, Room Tech/Pharmacy Tech

Irene came to us through the training program at Mission Hills High School from where she recently graduated. Irene is an excellent asset to us as she is San Salvadorean and speaks Spanish. She also is a major pet lover and has 2 dogs, Lucky and Yoshi, 2 cats, Littens and Ghost and 2 turtles, a water turtle named Tank and a land turtle named Tiny Tim. Irene is also one of our RVT’s in training and is proving herself to be a very quick learner and loves being a part of the SMVC team.

In my spare time…

Irene is a quiet young lady but loves to have bright, loud hair! (We love it too!) She also enjoys doing her nails and spending time with her friends and family.

Maria, Receptionist

Maria hails from San Jose, CA but worked with Dr. Ichord, Anne, Paul and Jessica in Turlock too! She joined the veterinary field in 2006 and has developed into a professional veterinary receptionist. Maria was not allowed to have pets as a child and this drove her to the industry. Maria is bilingual, a huge help to San Marcos Veterinary Clinic and truly loves providing our clients with excellent customer service. She is the mother of two young men, ages 19 and 21, and is mom to 4 dogs, Sassy, Victoria, Myles and Old Man Sai. We are so grateful Maria was willing to relocate to SoCal to join our team!

Some day … a cat too.

Maria has 4 dogs but someday would like to get a cat. Maria doesn’t want just any cat, she wants a Maine Coon cat because they look like miniature lions and are big with furry feet!

Our cowgirl:
